This has been possibly my favorite engine swap ever since I first heard about it. Someone needs to make a rival to it using an 80-series Land Cruiser and a 2JZ.
There are a few Land Cruiser owners here on Oppo...

Has been done a number of times. I've been for a hoon in a 2JZ powered 4Runner, was very boosty.

Mid to late 90s, N180 I think. It was setup for sand, so more about hp than torque.
Found myself more focused on listening to revs & waiting for the boost to kick in than I should have. I think it would take a very long time to get bored of it.

I know a guy that swapped a 2UZ-FE into a 3rd gen 4Runner. It's an absolute blast.
